Northern Lights Architecture/Marusich Architecture completed the preliminary designs & cost estimates for the City of Houghton to prepare for five (5) building owners that front the Portage Waterway Canal on Lakeshore Drive. The removal of the 40+ year old parking structure from the waterfront has opened up the possibilities for the owners to establish new storefronts & engage with the influx of pedestrian and vehicular traffic that will be increased due to the parking deck removal, along with spectacular views of the Houghton-Hancock Lift Bridge and the water.
