Houghton, Michigan
Northern Lights Architecture/Marusich Architecture was recently selected by the City of Houghton to prepare preliminary design concepts and cost feasibility for five (5) building owners that front the Portage Waterway Canal. The removal of the 40+ year old parking structure from the waterfront has opened up the possibilities for the owners to establish storefronts & engage with the influx of pedestrian and vehicular traffic that will be increased due to the parking deck removal, along with spectacular views of the Houghton-Hancock Lift Bridge and the water.
